Developer Burnaware Technologies has three data burning tools to offer: BurnAware Free, BurnAware Premium, and BurnAware Professional. Obviously, all of them are capable of burning data onto optical discs, a.k.a. CDs or DVDs. The thing is that they can do a lot more than just that! How much more depends on the version. And just to make things perfectly clear, let’s quickly go over all three versions.

The Free Edition can burn data onto discs, create bootable discs, burn multimedia discs, create and burn ISO images, erase rewritable discs, verify discs, and display disc information. The Premium Edition can do everything that the Free Edition can and it can also copy discs, rip audio CDS, and recover/extract data from a corrupted disc. BurnAware Professional can do everything that the Premium Edition can and it can also burn IOS images to multiple recorders. Out of all three versions, only BurnAware Professional can be used for commercial purposes.

All three BurnAware editions are compatible with 32- or 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or 8.1, and Windows 10. No matter which version you get, a simple setup wizard will guide you through all the steps you need to take to install BurnAware on your Windows PC. If you install BurnAware Free on your PC, you can use it for free for as long as you want. If you install the Premium or Professional Edition, you can use it for free for a trial period of 10 days.

By default, all three editions bring up a Welcome Screen at startup. Browse through it to see everything that the BurnAware application can do and then select the task you want to perform: burn a standard disc, create a bootable disc, burn ISO image, make ISO image, erase disc, and so on.

BurnAware Premium is easy to use, it helps you easily burn data onto discs, and it comes packed with a lot of extra features that you might find useful., like the option to create ISO images, rip audio CDs, and check discs for errors.

Pros

BurnAware Premium is compatible with any Windows edition from Windows XP up to Windows 10. The Welcome Screen clearly presents all the features that BurnAware Premium has to offer. You can use this tool to burn data onto discs, to create ISO images, to create bootable discs, and more. Alongside BurnAware Premium, the developer has two more editions to offer: BurnAware Free and BurnAware Professional.

Cons

Trial limitations: 10-day trial, nag screen.
